On the Friday night the Welcome pairs was won by Jean Schroeter/Helen Carmody and Susan Brooks/Janis McAloon, demonstrating that a little wine does not impair the bridge.

On Saturday two sessions were conducted for qualifying for the final on Sunday. Peter Brook and Beverly Kilpatrick did particularly well and qualified in top spot. On Sunday, Ru & Wilma played superbly to win the final with Teresa & Margaret taking out the Consolation.
